Editing an Existing Form

To load an existing form so that you can maintain it, perform one of the following actions

The Load Form dialog is then displayed, to enable you to specify or select the name of the form that you want to load for editing.

To load an existing form

  1. If you do not want to edit a form for the Painter’s current schema, in the Schema combo box, select the schema that contains the form that you want to edit.

The list box area of the Form combo box then displays the forms defined for that schema.

  2. In the text box of the Form combo box, specify the name of the form that you want to edit or select the form from the list box. Alternatively, when the Form text box has focus, use the up (↑) and down (↓) arrow keys to scroll up or down the list of forms so that the form selected in the list is displayed in the Form text box.

For details about filtering the entries displayed in the Form list box, see "Filtering Entries in Combo Box and List Box Text", in Chapter 2.

  3. Check the Show as Hierarchy check box if you want to display a hierarchical list of all forms. In hierarchical form, the filtering process is not performed.

This check box is unchecked by default, so that the list of forms is displayed alphabetically sorted and it allows the filtering process to be performed.

  4. Click the OK button. Alternatively, click the Cancel button to abandon your selections.
