Authentication Configuration
This section describes the authentication configuration used to connect to the Schema Registry, EventHubs, and Blob Storage services.
The Authentication element has several settings, with a mandatory Type specifying the kind of credentials to use, along with additional type‑specific values.
Authentication configuration for Event Streaming requires up to three different connections (for example, Azure Event Hub, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Schema Registry) to be correctly set up for proper functionality.
Misconfigurations can cause connection failures so it is essential to carefully verify credentials, permissions, and connection settings. Ensure all required authentication parameters are correctly configured, considering HTTPS enforcement, proxy settings, and firewall rules to avoid connectivity issues and unnecessary troubleshooting. This applies to configuration file settings and to cloud‑based portal configurations.
