JADE enables you to use the RPS Manager application to configure the extent of user objects from the production database that are replicated in the RPS data store. Each configurable option is also an implied lifetime; that is, temporary or persistent. In all cases, system and user schema files are replicated in the RPS data store.
The RPS node must maintain at least a subset of objects replicated from the production database.
All data to be loaded into the relational database, including data extracted for reorganizations, must be extracted on the primary node. The primary node is not available during the extract process.
Partitioned file structures and meta data are replicated on full replica and mapped extent RPS databases. File partitioning is not applicable on a working set RPS database.
The database modes (or extents) are Full database replica, Mapped Extent, and Working Set. For details, see the following subsections.
