When a reorganization is performed, the amount of disk space that is required on the drive that contains the database is not that of the complete database but a total of:
Twice the disk space of the data files (.dat files) that are being reorganized.
Additional disk space to allow for newly defined properties and properties with an increased size.
Additional disk space to allow for new inverses and rebuilt collections.
Database files grow in size when new inverses are populated and collections are rebuilt.
In some cases, compacting these files following the completion of the reorganization may reclaim disk space. For details, see "
Additional disk space for journals, if the reorganization is replayable.
